Product FeaturesProduct Details
It is known that during the colonial time in South America, the stalk of barley and wheat was commonly used to decorate religious objects. What you may see as an imperfection is the nature of the barley and wheat. Fifty years ago, in the South Western area of Colombia, some artisans started to revive this type of art by creating beautiful landscapes of their land using barley and wheat stalk designs and gluing them on wood. This art has been passed on, has evolved and has been perfected. It is unique. There are only about 100 artists dedicated to work this technique that has been passed on through generations.
